Greatest Inventions of Last Century

The Greatest Inventions of Last Decade is a book that is very interesting, to say the least. It is written by Reed Business School professor Robert E. Krystal, and it is subtitled A Century of inventions: A Personal chronicle. As far as I can tell from the book, it is a simple look at how and why great men and women invent things. It is a nice little glimpse into the past and definitely a must-read for any fan of history.

However, one thing I thought the book lacked was a timeline or a list of the most famous inventions of all time. In other words, the book could use a better list of what it’s talking about and cut out some obvious choices. Other than that, the book is a great quick read and gets right to the point quickly. One of the reasons I like this book so much is because it’s so short. This means that it doesn’t get boring easily, and you still get quite a lot of information. Plus, it’s such a great look at the inventions that were made during the last century.

Overall, I liked this book a lot. It gives a brief history of the Greatest Inventions of All Time and lists the 7 greatest of all time. While it is short and doesn’t do an in-depth job of listing the great men and women, it does a great job of giving enough information to get interested in learning more. If you enjoy reading historical books, then this is one you should pick up.
